This spring exhibition honors Black fathers and their presence in their communities. Brooklyn-based artist Dáreece J. Walker creates figurative works on cardboard depicting Black fathers with their children: moments of care, protection, play, and simple presence. The work challenges stereotypes by centering Black fatherhood as present, loving, complex, and strong.
The opening reception features Philadelphia music collective Umami1000, blending hip-hop, jazz, and soul.
